Hello, all. I wanted to post and hopefully clear something up. Yesterday, (24FEB10) I was accused of being a spawn camper on your server. If that is the way I am percieved I want to apologize and see that perception changed. I am 50 yo and have played this game for a number of years now and have been a member of the [OTD] clan as well. I want to assure you all that I have been and intend to be an honorable player. I do not like cheaters, hackers, spawn and type killers either and I want to say I certainly do not spawn camp/kill purposely. PLEASE, if you see me do something against your rules, tell me and I will abide by your direction. I do not want to be a dreaded player on your server. There I am [OTD]GI Joe. I play almost exclusively on your server since the [OTD] clan has dwindled in the past 2 years and we no longer have servers. I enjoy your server very much and would like to get to know you all by playing regularly. If I have offended anyone by my style of play please accept my apology and let me know how I might fit in.

I have played with you several times and have not noticed anything wrong. Some people get worked up over every misdeed towards them so don't worry about that. Here's a basic set of our rules.

We try hard to run a MOH server where there is no cheating and provide a place where the players can enjoy the game while semi-behaving like adults. That's where the Old Farts Clan got it's name.

We strive to keep it clean by not allowing any cursing or taunting.

We do not allow spawn killing or camping. The players are protected from being injured for 5 seconds after spawning. This should allow them enough time to safely exit the spawn area and get into battle. If you fire your weapon the spawn protection is removed and you can be killed. We also do not fire into a spawning area unless fired upon by the spawning player. If the spawning player fires at you (which they often will if they are not members), kill him. If he gets you, let an admin know and we'll warn him. This is going to happen with players unfamiliar with our rules so ask the player not to fire out of spawns and give him a chance to understand what we are doing before asking an Admin for assistance.

We don't allow spawn camping. That is waiting near a spawn point and trying to pick off targets exiting spawning areas.

We don't allow typekilling. When a player has their type symbol up leave them alone.

We don't allow typecamping. Players sometime wait near a typing player and shoot him as soon as his type symbol is dropped.

If you break these rules yourself, always apologize to the player. Normally they will tell you "NP" (no problem). Mistakes are going to happen to all of us.

Please don't gas spawn points.

Please don't use grenades coming off spawn. The opponent has to fire at you and you are protected until you release it. That is not fair.

There are some spots in maps that are called clips. These are spots where the player can see and shoot from but can not be seen by the opposition. It is next to impossible to kill players in some of these spots. We will point them out to you. It is not fair to the other players to use these "cheats".

We are suffering from reduced play like your old clan. The game is getting very old so it figures to die a slow death. You are welcome to play anytime. Just enjoy and keep it clean.
